Hello Granny, I know that you are with God, however I wished that you were here with me. I have had a rough time dealing with this, but I know one thing for sure, you were getting me ready for what was about to happen. I think about all the many many nights we stayed up and talked, I didn't understand then. Now I do. Victoria is doing fine, just a little sick with a cold, other than that she's ok. I will be school soon. I can't wait. It's so hard, I miss you with love your tink a boo.

Happy Belated Birthday Combs. Nikki Tasha really misses you and I thought about all day yesterday. I know if you were here we would have had a good birthday party for you. Jean decorated your headstone and it is beautiful. The family as a whole misses you and thinks about you alot. I agree with mom and Aunt Ruby its hard around the holidays because you were always planning who is bringing what to dinner. I guess we will have to depend on your sisters to pick that role up. Its been almost year and the family still hasn't recovered. The love you displayed to your family can't be out done. I know your are with your parents and other family members looking down on us with a smile. We know in our hearts that you are in a better place but it is still hard to let go. Rest in peace Combs and we as a family need to pray for one another and be there for one another as you would want us to be. I love you and miss you dearly...Red

We have approached the Holidays, and I know we are missing MJ more, because you know she loved every holiday. I know she is going to have a Merry Christmas with God. We as a family needs to bond more, and keep God first in our lives, and pray about everything. God will order our steps. Together with prayer, we can stand for something, and fall for nothing.
God's grace will protect, provide, secure, calm, and comfort you. Times and Season's change but not God. Our tomorrow is in God's hands, and he knows what is best for us as a family.
I miss my Big Sis daily, but I know God loved her.
Merry Christmas MJ, Daddy, Mama, Jr. and to the Holloway Family and extended families.
Love you much.

Hello Combs,
I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you and I miss you dearly. Your baby sis had knee surgery so I have been making sure that she has what she needs. You always told her that she needs to slow down and since the surgery she has no other choice. She spends her days at home watching tv or sleeping. Wun is doing ok and Bird is about to have another baby. I really hope its a girl, I want a niece so bad but I will be happy with whatever the Lord blesses her with. I agree with Aunt Ruby Nell, we did have a nice time over to Spam's for Labor Day and it was a whole lot of food, the only person was missing was you. I know you are resting and smiling down on the family. Holidays are the challenging time because I am use to you calling and asking me what I am going to bring for dinner; I don't get that anymore. Now is more like the family pretty much do their seperate things. I am going to sign off and I will chat with you later. I LOVE AND MISS YOU ALOT, YOUR NIECE B-RED (NIKKI-TASHA)

Hello Combs,
I wanted to let you know that we had a good Labor Day. The family went to Spam's for dinner. She cooked alot of food and we had a chance to talk to Arthur. The food was great. I must admit it felt a little odd being there because I was waiting for you to come up the hall wth your cane. I know that you were there with us. We had a very good time. You are missed dearly but the family knows that "all is well with your soul". I love you Combs and I will chat with you later. RIP Combs

Nature
As a fond mother, when the day is o'er,
Leads by the hand her little child to bed,
Half willing, half reluctant to be led,
And leave his broken playthings on the floor,
Still gazing at them through the open door,
Nor wholly reassured and comforted
By promises of others in their stead,
Which, though more splendid, may not please him more;
So Nature deals with us, and takes away
Our playthings one by one, and by the hand
Leads us to rest so gently, that we go
Scarce knowing if we wish to go or stay,
Being too full of sleep to understand
How far the unknown transcends the what we know.

I miss you Combs and I think about you everyday. I know in my heart that you are in a better place, but it seems like I was just chatting with you on yesterday. I think about you on a daily basis, especially on holidays. We did have a nice family reunion and nice visit to the homeplace, but I felt different because you wasn't there in the physical sense. I know you would want the family to carry on as you were here. Honestly, I miss the times I would crawl into bed with you and watch TV or have one of our crazy conversations. Wun was baptized in March, he and I are both members of Macedonia. Bird and lil Billy are members as well. Can you believe that I am joining a motorcycle club? Yes, Hun is planning on riding a bike. I still don't have a good man in my life, personally I don't think they exist. Well Combs, I am going to chat with you later. I love and miss you dearly, your niece Nikki (B-Red). I will try to keep the family intact for you! REST IN PEACE COMBS!

MJ is thought about and missed everyday, but I know her spirit lives on. We as a family need to embrace and encourage each other daily. We don't have to wait until until a funeral, or reunion to see each other. Pick up the phone if nothing else and connect more with each other.
To my family and extended family, I love you, and we must do what God wants us to do, and it is to serve him, and love each other.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Remember
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
In loving memory of our sister

To my the entire Holloway Family:
We have lost our sister, mother grandmother, aunt, friend, etc, to God be the glory, because he knew what was best. We all loved her, and may her legacy live on in us. We all will have our moments when we really miss her, but keep asking God for strength to carry on. This family is and has been truly blessed, and I myself give thanks to God for allowing MJ to be a part of our lives Thank everyone for being there for her in her time of need, with your prayers and comforting words. Just being there as a family meant a lot to her and to me as a sister. We need to bond more as a family and express agape love for each other, and in time of need be willing to help each other. For the ones that isn't affliated with a church to find you a church home, and lets get busy and be about God's business. The strength that I have shown was through God. I asked him for it, and he gave it to me, that lets you know, God will give you the desires of your heart. God is still and always answer prayers, just pray. Don't wait on others to give you the answers, and start getting your answers for yourself through God. Find your purpose in life.
She is dancing with God. I pray that the family finds comfort in knowing that she is absent from the body, but present with the Lord.
Rest in peace my beloved sister

There is a bridge of memories from here to Heaven above,
That keeps your mother very close to you
It's called the "Bridge of Love".
As time goes by without her and the days turn into years,
They hold a million memories and a thousand silent tears.
To her, the family was so special, What more is there to say
Except that you wish with all our heart that she were here with you today! There will always be this heartache, and often a silent tear.
You shall cherish those precious memories, of the days when she was here.
Remembering her, will be easy, as you will do it every day.
But your love for her will never go away. Always remember that
God loves you and that he is there to comfort you...

To My Holloway Family,
Time may seem hard right now, but remember the Lord will see us through. Our hearts may hurt and the tears may continue to stream down our face, but the good memories we had with Combs will make us smile again. It was sad for me to see Combs leave her earthly home and I didn't realize how much I would miss talking to her. I get peace from within knowing that she isn't suffering anymore, no more doctors, no more medication, no more needles pricking her beautiful skin and no more restless nights from her dealing with pain. I am glad that I was blessed to have Combs as my aunt. She was someone that I could talk to or she knew just what to say to make you smile. No one was a stranger to her and everywhere she went she met a new friend. I will miss the days I would get in the bed and watch TV with her. I love Combs and I love my family. Together with prayer and the Lord we will get through this. Remember to cherish the good times we had with her. I know that she would want us to carry on as if she was here. A family that prays together stays together. May the Lord continue to bless our family. RIP IN PEACE COMBS!!!

To Our Extended Family Memebers: The Hollways, Johnson and other Family and Friends.
We have set in the place where you'll are at this moment; and we can truly say that God is still good. God will wipe away every tear, He will mend your broken heart and spirit. He will be a comforter just call Him up and tell Him what you want. We lost our mother in "2007" the "Queen B" of our heart, the servant God called home, the rock of our strength. So we know what He can do.
When the bond of a mother and child is broken it feels like your heart is racing and your stomach is empty; but we know a man from Galilee that is able to do all things well. So today we the Coleman family commend Him to you'll.
May God continue to bless and keep you'll always and forever is our prayer.

Mary, you often spoke to me about your sister. I know you loved her and will miss her greatly. We will be praying for you and your family . I know the Lord will give your strength to make it through. Remember Psalms 3:3 "But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head ."
