Marjoray Wilemon Obituary

Marjoray Ridley Wilemon
January 21, 1921 - June 4, 2022
Arlington, Texas - Mrs. Marjoray Ridley Wilemon, 101, went home to be with her Savior June 4, 2022 at her home in Arlington where she lived for 58 years.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at First Baptist Church, 301 S. Center St., Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Central Bible Church, 8001 Anderson Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76120, https://www.wearecentral.org/give/ or Bible Study Fellowship International, Global Headquarters, 19001 Huebner Road, San Antonio, TX 78258, https://www.bsfinternational.org/support/memorials-and-honorarium/.
Marjoray was born January 21, 1921 in a small community in Union County, New Mexico to Ray and Rhoda Ridley. From very humble beginnings her family raised crops and eventually moved to Fort Worth where they had a small grocery store in the Poly area of Fort Worth. She attended Poly High School and Texas Tech University where she was a class officer and cheerleader; graduating with a degree in home economics in 1942.
She met her husband, Howard while she was at North Texas and he was attending N.T.A.C. which is now UTA.
They both loved to dance and they met at a dance venue in the Arlington area. They married in September of 1942 when Howard was in the Navy and moved back to Arlington in 1947 where they resided for the rest of their lives.
She was very involved in numerous community organizations including PTA, Women of Rotary, and Women's Club of Arlington serving as President in those organizations.
Marjoray's passion became serving her Lord and Savior through organizations such as Pantego Bible Church, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Happy Hill Farms where she served on their boards.
Her love of God's Word was further advanced when she served as a group leader in Bible Study Fellowship for 35 years into her 90's. She taught and encouraged hundreds of women and men to join the organization. She had a desire for anyone she met to know her Savior Jesus Christ and she dedicated her life to that calling.
Her community group at Pantego Bible Church, now Central Bible Church was always a great joy in her life and she was very thankful for each of the members and their influence on her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wilemon; and sister, Jeanie Rotolo.
Marjoray is survived by her sons, Brad Wilemon and his wife, Pennye, and Stan Wilemon; grandchildren, Ashley Williams and husband, Robert, and Allison Prewitt, Rance Wilemon and his wife, Tonie, and Zane Wilemon and wife, Amal, and Jenna Wilemon; and 6 great-grandchildren, Ethan Williams, Blakely Prewitt, Garren Prewitt, Landry Williams, Jude Wilemon and Rose Wilemon.

What a beautiful picture of a beautiful woman. I knew and loved Marjoray. From Parkwood to varsity circle to Shady Valley she was always our neighbor and my mom`s good friend. I babysat Brad and Stan, Howard loaned me the money for my Karman Ghia in Germany, and she gave me a beautiful party when I got married. We visited every time I came back to Texas . Much love to her family!
