Martha Morgan Obituary

Martha Morgan, lovingly known as "Auntie Mar" by friends and family, was born January 28, 1926, in Forth Worth, Texas, where she lived with her parents Charles Lewalling and Frances Van Zant Morgan, her sister, two brothers, and grandmother. She graduated from Arlington Heights High School, attended The University of Texas, the University of Chicago, and the International School in Paris, France, graduating from TCU in 1967. Martha worked over 30 years at Texas Petroleum as an Export Projects Manager where she dealt with salesmen and representatives from all over the world. She played the ukulele, was a great watercolorist, birder, golfer, fly fisherman, spoke French and Czechoslovakian, and taught herself Italian and Russian. There's nothing Martha couldn't do from tiling her bathroom to laying down her own patio. In her second career she became a travel agent, planning trips all over Europe for family and friends. Martha is known for her love of animals, sense of humor, fond memories of childhood, and being a great historian. No one could tell a story like Martha, and her laughter lit up the room. Although Martha never married, she leaves behind 10 nieces and nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews,13 great-great nieces and nephews, and her beloved goddaughter. The family would like to thank Care Builders, Journey Hospice, and The Westmore for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Climb That Mountain Scholarship Fund at Fort Worth Country Day School, 4200 Fort Worth Country Day Lane, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
