Martha Swint Obituary

Martha Lee Swint, our sweet Nana, at 101 years young passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 1, 2014. Celebration of life: Martha will be honored at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Legacy Senior Residence, 3850 Silverton Circle, Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Martha's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org; please click on the "Dedicate My Donation" box. Martha was born in St. Joseph, Mo., on April 30, 1913, to Robert Lee McDuff and Mary Susan Gregoire. The family moved to Fort Worth when she was 2. Martha worked at Consolidated as a riveter on the B-24 Liberator bomber during World War II and later became a nurse. Survivors: Martha is survived by her daughter, Joan Rasmussen; grandchildren, Cheryl Douglas, Ronnie Potenzo, Christine Bergren, Jamie Martin and Eric Swint; and 11 great-grandchildren.
