Hurst, Texas - Mary Louise Farmer passed away in her home in Hurst, TX on Sunday, July 16th. Mary was a Christmas baby, born in Buford, GA on December 25th, 1937 to Joe & Viola Hutchins.
She married Thomas H. Farmer III in Atlanta, January 1964 and later had two sons: Thomas (Tom) H Farmer IV & Gregory (Greg) S Farmer.
Mary's legacy is her daycare, which enabled her to fulfill her desire of helping others on a daily basis. Her daycare work was her greatest impact, dedication, & passion. Over the decades, she nurtured and taught scores of area children to future successes and raising their own families. Mary was deeply involved with the Mid Cities Professional Child Care Association serving in several roles within the organization (including President) over many years.
She also loved flowers, and enjoying her roses and tropical flowers she grew. She also enjoyed watching and feeding the birds in the backyard, while enjoying coffee in the morning on the patio. Mary enjoyed travel with her husband Thomas H Farmer III, and they explored Europe, parts of the United States, and the Caribbean via frequent cruises.
Mary was predeceased by her husband of 54 years Thomas H Farmer III in 2018, and is survived by her sons: Thomas H Farmer IV (from Allen) & Gregory S Farmer (from Arlington).
A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, August 19th from 2-4pm, at the Legacy Church of Christ, 8801 Mid Cities Blvd, North Richland Hills, TX.

She was a very loving and kind person. She was a good friend to me. She was very good to my grandkids and I loved her very much. I knew her from the professional child care association.
