Mary Earlyne Sparkman ARLINGTON--Mary Earlyne Sparkman of Arlington, Texas, departed this world for heaven on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at the age of 82. FUNERAL: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at Moore Funeral Home. Interment follows at 1 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 9 to 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary's life. MEMORIALS: Donations may be made to The National Kidney Foundation. Mary was born to Earl Thompson Sr. and Zora Mae Thompson on April 14, 1935, in Ada, Okla. Mary wed Bill Sparkman Sr. on Aug 21, 1954, in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Grand Prairie High School and North Texas State University with a B.S. Education, with a major of secondary education and speech pathology. She taught at Midlothian High School and South Grand Prairie High School. Mary was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. She was generous and loved sharing new experiences with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years; her parents; brother, Jerry Thompson; and sister, Barbara Johnson. SURVIVORS: She leaves behind her son, Bill Sparkman Jr. and his wife, Neil, of Clarksville, Texas; her daughter, Susan Ward and her husband, Kelly, of Arlington, Texas; her brother, Earl Thompson of Clarksville, Texas; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
