I was stunned to learned of his passing only last night. I met Mike when our sons played on the same team a couple of years ago. My son did not play fall ball last year, and since I only knew Mike thru baseball, I had not seen him since last spring.

The big guy was one of the tallest men, and also one of the most genuinely nice people, that I've had the pleasure to meet. I enjoyed our conversations whenever we ran into each during practices or games.

The only thing taller than him physically was his spirit. I will remember you well, Big Guy.

I am deeply sadden to hear of Mikes passing. I only met Mike recently when my son and I became part of his youth baseball team. He opened up his arms and heart and welcomed us to his team and life. He was very caring towards the kids and he loved baseball and seeing the kids succeed. He will truly be missed.

I worked with Mike about 6 years. He had an amazing love for his family. He was a gentle giant who cared about his coworkers & doing the job the right way. His faith grew in recent years & he was an encourager to all of us to keep things in perspective. His smile lit up the place. No one will be able to fill his shoes. I learned so much from him through his struggles & his victories. May you feel the peace & comfort from the source of strength that Mike drew from; Jesus Christ; his Savior. You will continue to be in our prayers in the days to come. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge & strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.

Althought, we never met Michael he, was there for us and we were FB friends. We enjoyed his help on all the fun games we all played. And I always enjoyed his train watching trips & could relate after living in Haslet , and being surrounded by the trains.
May you and your family have peace & comfort in the wonderful memories you have of Michael. Being Catholic ourselves, I'm sure that Michael is with Jesus our Lord & Savior.

To ALL of the family,

I work for CEVA in Jacksonville Florida, and on Sunday I was stunned by the news Mike had died. I have never met him face to face, but I knew an awful lot about him and the family. I knew of his love of OU, and the Rangers. I knew of his kids and wife. I knew of his heart, and by that I mean his heart was one of compassion, caring and love, and "the greatest of these is love".
I'm not sure if you know it, but Mike was on my daughter's team for March of Dimes, he donated to our team, and for him to do that was very special.
Notice I haven't mentioned work yet; oh yea, he was my "go-to" guy, when I needed information, training and guidence.

Please know that while I will not be in person at his memorial service, I will be there in spirit, standing to honor a life of meaning, a life of purpose, and a life cut short too soon. Mike's life had meaning, his work life, his personal life, and I'm SO SO sure that his circle of friends are devastated, I know I am.

Please accept my condolences............ I lost a friend, and I miss him.
"For I recon that the sufferings of this world, shall not be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us".

Michael was perhaps the most gentle and kindest person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. His heart was filled with goodness and you could see and feel this each time you were blessed with the opportunity to speak with him. His heart was for his family and for kids and he loved baseball. My son had the honor of playing for coach Mike. Mike, you will be greatly missed my friend but God has a place for you that only HE can prepare. Its a reward for a person so special and so kind. God bless you and your family.
