Arlington, t - Michael Ann Zaves, nee Shannon, of Arlington, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 14. Beloved wife of the late Jacob 'Jack' Zaves. She was born on June 7, 1943, in Valdosta, Georgia. Loving mother to Kenneth (Jenny), Thomas (Holly) and Kellie (Dan) Sobczak and devoted grandmother to 8 grandchildren, Jake, Becca, Megan, Paxton, Avery, Ben, Emily and Chloe. She was preceded in death by her parents Matthew and Audrey Shannon. Survived by brothers Kevin Shannon, Brian Shannon, Keith Shannon, sisters, Katie Keegan, Joan Shannon, Meg Hochstrasser, Laurie Kaiser and many nieces and nephews.

Michael Ann married Jack in 1964 and enjoyed 48 years together, 15 years on Long Island, New York and 33 years in Arlington, Texas. Jack's career gave them many opportunities to travel together to many places in the United States and Europe. She never met a stranger and left every conversation with the other person better than they were before.

She was an avid gardener, enjoyed golf and was an active member of her Bible Study group where she met the new love of her life, Austin Mackey, his 6 children and 16 grandchildren. She and Austin spent the last 7 years together traveling and enjoyed many exciting destinations and great Mackey/Zaves memories.

Her great faith, kindness and generosity showed no bounds. She was immensely proud of her family and extended family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 2100 N Davis Dr. Arlington TX 76012
