Michelle Morris, a loving mother and hospice care professional, received her own measure of care as her life on earth ended with her family and devoted hospice care team members at her side. Memorial service: 3 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Hospice Plus Foundation at www.hospiceplus.net. Michelle lived a life of service to others during her nursing career and later as a gifted end of life specialist. She found no case too challenging to successfully help the patient and family find peace when facing the end of life. Her caring and intuitive bedside manner was legendary and won her accolades and awards from her professional peers. Her joy was her children. In spite of a frenetic work schedule and the pressures of being the household breadwinner, she always had time for their activities and school events. Family was foremost to Michelle. A family member in need could rely on Michelle coming their way. Her family has a hole in their hearts that she is gone so soon. With a personality that would brighten the day and equipped with insight that could read innermost thoughts, she was the consummate communicator. She could connect in an instant and seek to truly understand everyone she met. There will never be another like her. Survivors: Michelle is survived by children, Nathaniel, Abigail, Lauren and Elijah; grandfather, J.B. Hamilton; parents, Betty Gaston and Mike and Susan Gaston; brother, Todd Gaston (Pam); sisters, Lisa Bavelaar (Charles) and Amy Sublette (Chris); and many nieces and nephews.

RIP my friend you were the best hospice nurse a nurse could have,I loved working with you we were always planning the best care for our residents and I knew I could count on you . We shared many laughs as well I will always remember the last time we saw each other we laughed, we cried and then we hugged and gave each other the peace sign to our heart .I will miss you and my heart is heavy for all that is effected by this tragic event .

God Bless you Michelle! I so miss your face! Our talking and plotting of fun to come. You were my bestie when my sis passed and everyday thereafter. We only had 4 years but the hole in my heart will last till we meet again in the after life. Thank you for "touching" me in ICU.
