Nancy Louise Johnson was born Dec. 22, 1926, to Bart and Nancy Holmes in Fort Worth. She lived in Fort Worth most of her life with her two sisters, Billie June and Mary Alice. After graduation from Trimble Tech High School in 1943 she moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where she attended and graduated from Life Bible College.
Upon moving back to Fort Worth, she met Lee Johnson at her church, the one in which they would soon marry. In fact, their pastor who introduced them would eventually be the same pastor to marry them and 31 years later marry their only daughter, Lee Anne, to her husband Bruce.
Nancy worked for ARA Services as a facility manager before finally retiring after 15 years to become a full-time grandmother to Spencer, her most precious gift. Nancy was blessed her last two years living with her daughter, son-in-law and grandson, loving her Lord and being loved and appreciated by her family and friends.
The family wishes to express its deepest thanks to Dr. Mark Redrow and his caring staff. Also much love to friends for all their prayers and support.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Johnson; her parents, Bart and Nancy Holmes; and her sister, Mary Alice Holmes.
Survivors: Daughter, Lee Anne Conti and husband, Bruce of Fort Worth; grandson, Spencer Conti of Fort Worth; sister, Billie Matthews and husband, Daniel of Arlington; niece, Norma Ingram and her children, Jon Paul, Daniel and Charity, all of the Mid-Cities area.

I remember the entire Holmes family with great affection from my childhood years at the Foursquare Gospel Church on Rosedale St.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time of sadness. May our Lord, who has sustained us through our lives, continue to bless your family.
