My prayers and sympathy goes out to my husband (Cedric)as well as the entire Brookins family. I think of daddy (O.D.) and it brings to mind last 4th of July 2005, when he was given recognition for being the oldest of the brookins and was given a chance to speak as he recieved his award. He said to me "daughter-in-law walk me up there". He grabbed on to my arm and we walked to the front to get his award, and as he spoke he testified of God's goodness and how blessed he was to be there, and for that I will always remember the Brookins Family Reunion 2005. Rest in peace daddy. To my husband, know that your dad loved you with all his heart. Hold that thought close to your heart and you'll get throw this one day at a time.
With love,

I am sadden to hear of your lost, I am a classmate of Oswald and O.D and my father worked at Texas Steel and I met O.D. many years ago as a young kid working at Carswell AFB hospital and over all of these years I have always remembered a kind and wonderful person.
