Where did you go
You left so soon
I held you till' we fell asleep
Asked you if you were afraid, were you?
Now it's so strange, saying your name
Can't you just come back? Just for a day. I feel you right here.
We had simpler days, building castles in the sand. Just a little girl, the sunlight peeking through the van.
We stood by that sign that warned us moments fly away, but ignorance was bliss, didn't know he'd take you away.
But I feel you right here.
You're a dove by my window, never far from home.

You were perfect, always kind and loving no matter what was going on in your own life. I love you Granny.

We salute a fine and loving woman who will be missed by her family members and her many friends. We knew her through her husband and learned much about her through Laylan. To all of her family members, we know that nothing we can say will ease your pain. But, we also know that time will help somewhat. That, along with the knowledge that you will see her again, will help you get through this very difficult time. Her spirit will be with you in the meantime. Just think of the wonderful gifts she gave to you - love, the care of a loving wife, mother and friend. You are so fortunate to have had her in your lives!

Patsy was a wonderful woman. She was a loving wife and mother, but most of all a servant to the Lord. I knew this with only five minutes of being with her. I spent the last week of Patsy's life at her bedside talking and praying with her. She would make me laugh and tell me stories. I never left Miss Patsy's room with a dry eye. I think about her everyday. To her family, I pass my deepest sympathy. Patsy was a wonderful ray of sunshine and she will definately be missed. I found a bible verse on "glory" and it reminded me of Patsy.
O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in
perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long
ago.
Isaiah 25:1
I feel that this verse is exactly how Patsy lived her life. And one day we will all be with her again.

Seems like for as long as I can remember Pat has been a part of Classic and as such a part of my life. Whenever I would call to talk to mom, Pat would always ask how I was, how my family was, etc. She always knew if I had just returned from a trip (and would ask how it went) or if anything was going on in my life Pat always knew and always made a point to ask me about it. She always took an interest in everyone and took the time to make you feel special. Pat -you will certainly be missed here on earth by everyone that knew you. I know will miss your welcoming voice when I call for mom. With love to your family.

To Laylan and the entire extended McMahan family,
I was saddened to hear the news about Pat's passing this past week after such a short illness with cancer. I remember Pat as a fun-loving mother to my best friend, Kim. Kim and I grew up together from 5th grade at Adelle Turner all the way up to Carter High School. Though being separated when ya'll moved to Arlington, Kim and I have continued to keep in touch through the years. I have fond memories of spending the night with Kim and always having so much fun at your house. I remember Pat as the mother that seemed to be able to do it all, yet be very involved in her children's lives and activities. I remember her as a very pretty mom; one that any girl would be proud of. I remember she had such a beautiful face--flawless it seemed. She always had her makeup on, including her "lined lipstick". (I always thought that was so neat!!!!!!). What an example she was to so many of a woman not only beautiful on the outside, but inside as well. She will be missed! May you find comfort in knowing that our prayers are with you and your entire family. Sincerely, Janie

Dear Laylan, we will always have such sweet memories of our times together. Working at Six Flags with our girls will always be a highlight. Pat was a wonderful, classy lady and even though she was in pain when I saw her in the hospital she still asked about my family. We still can't believe she's gone and I know you can't either, it happened so fast. Our deepest sympathy to you and your girls and may God give you strength in the days to come. God bless you and keep you Laylan.

Dear Laylan and Family:

I am terribly sadden to hear of the passing of Pat last Sunday. You and Pat were such dear friends to my mom and dad and it was with such a sad heart that dad did not see much of you or keep in touch with you after mom passed away. Pat was such a wonderful, friendly, upbeat, caring person and I know that she and mom and dad will have a reunion now in their heavenly place. We will always be so grateful to you and Pat for the friendship that you had with our parents and the special memories that were created from all of the places that you'all traveled to over the years of your friendship. Pat was always so wonderful to keep in touch with us and to ask about our families and keep us up on what you'all were doing. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers and you will always be in our hearts.

My deepest sympathy,

Marty Hargis Hendrix

I have never known anyone so proud of their relationships and rightly so. Pat loved her husband, girls, grandkids and I guess just about everyone. Pat was a most sincere and caring person. Some people can fake it but Pat was such a geniunely loving person you always felt special to her. I will miss her very much. While Pat was a talker she was also a great listener, otherwise, she could not have kept up with so many different people and what was happening in their lives, not to mention really caring about what was going on in our lives. Pat was an inspiration to me when my dad past away and sent my mom caring cards. It meant a lot to me and my mom. My prayers are with you Laylan and the family, not for Pat since I know she is in a much better place but that God will ease your pain and shorten the sorrow.

Pat was a loving and special co-worker and friend. I was always amazed at how she could remember everyone's name and voice. She always asked about family and even would remember your children and grand children's names. Not just of those of she worked with butof the many owners and tenants of Classic. She never forgot a birthday here at the office and oh those cakes she would make. With a voice like no other when she sang Happy Birthday it was more like a hymn.
Her desk was always full of angles and pictures of family. When I would skip lunch she would fuss at me and always bring something from her desk to make sure I didn't go hungrey. We all loved her and she will be greatly missed by her Classic family. Just know she is singing is the Heavenly choir now. I am sure God looked down and decided he needed another Angel.

Pat might as well been a member of my family. Over the years she was always an inspiration to me when I was feeling down she would pick me right back up with one of her famous bible scriptures on a sticky note. Pat you will always hold a special place in my heart and I will always love you Miss Pat.

There are no words to truly express the feelings so many of us have for Pat & Laylan. Pat was as beautiful inside as she was outside. My selfish self grieves for her, misses her and wants her back. My heart knows to rejoice and be happy for Pat that she suffers no more and has gone home to be with our Lord she loved SO much. I will not say goodbye, instead I will just say "See ya' later Pat, I love you." Thoughts, prayers and love sent to you Laylan. To all the family and friends, God bless, comfort and keep you.

Pat was our shining star every day. She made a point of greeting everyone, every day, personally. When she asked how you were doing today, she really cared about your answer. She was a testament to all that is good about being human. I will miss her smile, her class and her countless prayers she made on my behalf.

Pat you will be greatly missed. I will miss your "Good Mornings", the lovely scent of your perfume, and most of all the loving person that you were to all of us at Classic. You will always have a special place in my heart. I know that I will see you again.

“Miss Pat”
Oh, what a wonderful Lady!
Beautiful hair so soft and styled,
A brilliant Sparkling Smile.
Baby soft skin all a glow,
Pat was someone you wanted to know.
An inspiration to everyone she met,
Every stranger she did greet.
Always a kind word, a hello how are you,
She loved everyone and was never Blue.
Those awesome Birthday cakes and a special gift gave,
To let you know how special you were on your special day!
Always a smile and never a tear.
A kind and giving heart full of Blessings to share,
What a Wonderful, Loving Lady,
Especially to all those grandbabies.
A Mother to three loving daughters,
A wife and companion to a Great Man
A Friend to All,
What more could God ask, nothing at all!
I will miss You Miss Pat, I Love You!

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Pat's family at this difficult time. It has been a pleasure being neighbors with Pat all these years. She would always send little gifts for the kids. My kids were close in age to some of her grandkids and she was always exchanging stories with us about what our kids and grandkids were doing. She will be missed greatly. Lynn, Stephanie and Aaron
