Peter Sherratt

Peter Sherratt, 73, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015. Memorial service: 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at First United Methodist Church, 6112 Watauga Road, Watauga, 76148. Interment will be in Milton, Ontario, Canada, where he was born. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smile Train, Care, Project Hope or Operation Kindness. Peter worked with mastic asphalt in Canada for 20 years, emigrating to the U.S. with Carol Ann in the early '90s. He subsequently drove over-the-road for Schneider National for 10 years. A heart attack dictated that he retire. It also ended his pursuit of golf. He enjoyed reading his extensive collection of Nick Carter books and sitting outside watching the world go by. He never met a stranger and made friends easily. He was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Bessie Sherratt; brother, Eric; a son, Sam; and granddaughter, Ashley DePledge. Survivors: Wife, Carol Ann; daughters, Debbie Macdonald and Tammy Breau (Ken); son, Tim Sherratt (Kim); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Ann Crawford (Peter).
