Prentis QT Williams

Prentis QT Williams, 85, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009.
Service: 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors, 523 S. Main St., Grapevine. Interment: Heards Prairie Cemetery, Bremond. Visitation: 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
A native of Red Oak, Okla., he was born May 27, 1923, to John and Emily Williams. He served his country as a navigator of personnel landing crafts on the beach of Iwo Jima. After discharge from the U.S. Navy, he married Geneva Wallace and together they raised three children, Evelyn Highnote, Prentis Williams and Vanita Grant.
QT was a co-founder of BG Products, a Kansas corporation that manufactures lubricants. He spent 55-plus years selling lubrication products and was recognized for his contributions to the industry with his inventions or his many inovations.
QT was preceded in death by his son, Prentis; sisters, Ellie and Johnnie; and brothers, Clyde, Bob, Fred, Henry and Bernie.
Survivors: Wife of 62 years, Geneva Williams; daughters, Evelyn Highnote and husband, Wayne, of Grapevine and Vanita Grant and husband, Gary, of Watauga; grandchildren, Adrienne Guillot, Jeff Highnote and Crys Manning; great-grandchildren, Hannah Highnote, Justice Manning, Alexis Guillot and Travis Guillot; brother, Jake Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
