Preston was the deeply loved son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burr of Westchester, N.Y. and Preston M. Carter Jr. of Weatherford. He will be missed terribly by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Grantham of Granbury and Mr. Preston M. Carter of Brownsville.
Preston, a graduate of the Alexander School, was talented in music and had been schooled in Los Angeles in audio engineering. He had just recently moved back to Texas to join Carter Properties in real estate development.
His love of family and deep capacity for love and forgiveness made this young man's unique personality. The family would like to thank all of the friends of Dr. Bob and Bill W. for the support over many years.
Survivors: His sisters, Natalie and Keely Carter and his brother, Rhett Carter along with their mother, Mrs. Nancy Carter. His cousins, Dr. Grady Alsabrook and Maya Alsabrook Lalonde, will miss his infectious laugh and sense of mischief that only an older cousin can provide. Aunts and uncle, Catherine Carter and Sissy and Roger Alsabrook, as well as Gail Hamilton, will remember his loving presence.

We were deeply saddened to hear about Preston. Our hearts go out to all of the family for your loss. No one can ever make sense out of the loss of someone so young and the roads they may have yet to travel.

I knew Preston very well, we worked together at IBD and I have to say from all of us in California, Preston was a wonderful man. Preston was loved and respected by many. Preston had a genuine heart and will be missed.
