Randall Mayne Obituary

Randall Lloyd Mayne at 54 left his earthly home to be with his heavenly Father on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, after a short battle with cancer.
Memorial service: 3 p.m. Saturday at Northwood Church in Keller, where Randall was a serving member for over 20 years.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Randall Mayne's name to Cancer Care Services, 623 S. Henderson, Fort Worth, Texas 76104.
Randall loved the outdoors. Any time he had a few days off, he would take his family in the RV off to a lake or campsite. He spent many summer vacations camping and boating with his friends and family at Lake Ouachita, Ark. He also spent many years taking his son, Randy, to baseball tournaments all over the U.S.
Randall earned his MBA in landscape architecture at UTA and was a project manager for the Corps of Engineers. He had recently served as lake manager of Lake Lewisville, which gave him the opportunity to do what he loved -- be outdoors. He was currently assigned to the Texas fence project.
Another of his loves were his dogs: Bones, Gigi and Biscuit. Gigi spent most of her time, lying either on his shoulder or his leg. She will really miss her big pillow.
Randall was preceded in death by his biological father, his adopted father and a brother and sister.
Survivors: His wife of 28 years, Judy; son, Randy; mother and father, Ray and Audrey Higgins; siblings and spouses, Terry and Lauris Higgins, Mike and Ida Higgins, Phil and Susan Hohrine and Pat and Kelly Higgins; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends who loved him very much.

Judy and Randy,
All memories that I have with Randall are camping at the lake. I will never forget when Randy and I thought that we were big shots at tubbing and Randall would send us flying into the air and we were hanging on as tight as we could. Eventually he would throw us off. When we went and spent the days at an island on Lake Quachita and ate lots of watermelon. I will never forget those memories! Randall will be missed very much! Hope to see you both very soon and I love you so much!

Judy and Randy we are so sorry. when I think of my most happiest time in my life it is when we played baseball and the camping trips. Especially in Houston and arc parc. When I would go to Arc parc the 1st thing I would look for is that gorgeous tall man and hope that he would be calling our game or better yet yall would be in the stands so we could visit. It was an honor to know Randall. Randy and you are in my thoughts and prayers. If you need me, I would love to help with anything. love you Michelle and Anthony
