Raymond Villanueva Obituary

Raymond Jesus Villanueva, 80, died peacefully with the love of his life of 39 years, his caregiver and companion, Dolores, at his bedside Saturday, July 28, 2012. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary: 6 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Viewing/visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday. Pallbearers: C.J. Villanueva, Tony Parras, A.J. Gutierrez, Freddy Gutierrez, Louis Villanueva Jr. and Michael Ingram. Raymond was born Oct. 15, 1931, in Austin. A man with a good heart and a strong work ethic, he was a farmer, a truck driver and a machinist. He retired from General Dynamics in 1994. Raymond will be remembered for his smile and his passion for music and dancing. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Maria Villanueva; his brother, Alfred J.; and sisters, Antonia and Ramona. Survivors: Wife, Dolores; son, Richard Saldana; brothers, Louis Villanueva and wife, Lydia, Edward Villanueva and wife, Maria, Carlos Villanueva and wife, Graciela, George Villanueva and wife, Elsa; sisters, Alice Villanueva Escalera and husband, Jorge, and Cruz Ingraham and husband, Bill. He will be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
