Graveside service: Noon Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Lane A. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He was born July 17, 1930, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, to Pauline Cockron Pizer and Allen Pizer. He attended Kent State University and served his country in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He moved to Texas in 1975 and in 1983 married Beverly Wisener. He was a generous and fun-loving man. He was a sports enthusiast and loved the game of baseball. His favorite baseball teams were the Texas Rangers and the Cleveland Indians.
Survivors: Loving wife, Beverly Pizer; children, Linda Myers and husband, Marty, Mike Pizer, Eric Pizer; stepdaughters, Terri Russell and husband, Garry, Penny Thayer and husband, Jim; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Barnett.
