Robert Coffelt ARLINGTON -- Robert Eugene Coffelt of Arlington died Monday, July 31, 2017. FUNERAL: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 3, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: 11:15 a.m. Thursday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Baylor School of Music or Fort Worth Youth Orchestra. Bob was born in Olathe, Kansas, and attended schools in Olathe. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-55. His service included a tour in Korea in 1951-52. While attending Baylor University, Bob worked at the Veterans Administration. He graduated from Baylor with a degree in accounting in 1961. He worked as an auditor with the Department of Defense for 29 years. Bob had many interests, especially his working cattle ranch in Hamilton County. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorthy Coffelt, and his father, Hobart Coffelt. SURVIVORS: He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jane Coffelt; daughter, Janie R. "Robin" Coffelt of Denton; brothers, Thomas Coffelt of Hillsdale, Kansas, and Jerry Coffelt and his wife, Sally, of Olathe, Kansas; sister, Joyce Blackmon, of Pensacola, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
