Bob was a dear friend of mine. We met at his favorite restaurant over 30 years ago and became fast friends. In his later years I was honored that he would call me whenever he needed help with buying a new car or fixing his computer or fax machine.
I feel like I know all his children and grand kids as he spoke of them frequently and was so proud of all of them.
We talked frequently of his relationship with our Lord and the assurance of his eternal destiny.
All his friends were saddened to see him leave Houston but knew that he had always had the continual tugging of his heart strings to be near his family and Cara the 'apple of his eye'.
Bob, your character and friendly smile will never be forgotten. "Well done, good and faithful servant". Until we meet at home again.

I just read this Obituary with sadness about Bob. Bob was my landlord for 12 1/2 years. I'll never find another one like him. He was a kind gentle soul. RIP my friend.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences to the Reed family and friends for the passing of your dear loved one. Losing a loved one in death is never easy. One day many will have the opportunity to live again. May the hope of everlasting life sustain and comfort you during this difficult time (John 17:3). When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure in your heart and it lives forever. May the wonderful treasures fill your hearts with love and bring you peace.

Bob was my neighbor and a great friend for many years. He was the kindest person you could ever know and he will be greatly missed. I'm sure he'll once again be playing a little baseball.
