Rodney McLemore

1951 - 2025

Rodney Craig McLemore, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, surrounded by family. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 16, 1951, Rodney was the son of Aubrey and Harriett McLemore, both of whom preceded him in death.

A proud graduate of Richland High School, Rodney's deep love for his country led him to enlist in the U.S. Army shortly after graduation. He served honorably as a Military Police officer stationed in Puerto Rico.

After his military service, Rodney joined the family dry cleaning business, working alongside his mother for over two decades. Later, he transitioned into marketing dry cleaning supplies and chemicals.

He was a devoted father to Jonathan, from an earlier marriage, and Savannah, whom he shared with the love of his life, Patricia ("Tricia"), his wife of 34 years. He was a hands-on dad, never missing a moment - from hunting and fishing trips to football games, soccer matches, dance recitals, and Indian Princesses. His greatest joy came from being "Papa" to his four cherished granddaughters: Piper McLemore, Saylor, Scottie, and Hattie Johnson.

Rodney is survived by his loving wife Patricia; children Jonathan McLemore (Kristen) and Savannah Johnson (Teddie); brothers Randy McLemore (Cosy) and Ricky McLemore (Debbie); and his adored granddaughters. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws whom he cherished deeply.

Services will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas. Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 2, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 3, at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Rodney's legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
