Sorry to hear about Mr. Jackson, actually he is a relative that I never met. I met his father Will Jackson who was my grandmothers brother she was Cleo Butler. I've traced the Glover Family tree. May God give you peace and comfort in memories of him. Sincerely Cece Walker 972-729-0354

RSJ was and is one of my greatest Jazz idols - I saw him 5-6 times live in the 80s and had many of his records. Still listening to Man Dance and Barbecue Dog on my iPhone!
Darn Leukemia - I'm very sad!

Shannon, you were great in so many ways. First, you were a great teacher and a musical father. Keep rockin' that rhythm. Rest in peace.

Hey Shannon! Know you're still "in rhythm" (as you used to sign all your letters and later even e mails) up there in heaven. Remembering all the good times together over the years and your big soul, big as the sky! Love to Talk Eye and Sunday and to Natalie! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love always,

RSJ's always been one of my favorite drummers since way back in the "Mandance" days around '82-83.

I'll always rue that I never got to see him live, and I will make sure to turn folks on to his drumming which was like no one else. I have to add that his compositions were as adventurous and wide ranging as his drum playing and his composition made him one of my favorites as much as his drumming.
