RSJ was and is one of my greatest Jazz idols - I saw him 5-6 times live in the 80s and had many of his records. Still listening to Man Dance and Barbecue Dog on my iPhone!

I remember Ronnie when he used to sell me records in his Father's store a very long time ago. This guy was one of my role models growing up in FTW. RIP

To the family both musical and biological my prayers are with you., i had the privilege of meeting Mr.(roundhouse) Jackson some years back through my niece Rachella Parks. He very special kind of person gone but never forgotten. I know that your Hearts are heavy right now but weeping may endure for a night but joy will come in the morning..

RSJ's always been one of my favorite drummers since way back in the "Mandance" days around '82-83.
I'll always rue that I never got to see him live, and I will make sure to turn folks on to his drumming which was like no one else. I have to add that his compositions were as adventurous and wide ranging as his drum playing and his composition made him one of my favorites as much as his drumming.
