Roy Ray Obituary
March 22, 1942 - July 26, 2023
Aledo, Texas - Roy Earl Ray, 81, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. He was born March 22, 1942, in Aledo, TX to Hubert Ray and Elva (Mitchell) Ray. Among his many accomplishments, Roy graduated with a Bachelor's degree, proudly served his country in the United States in the Army with the 82 airborne and owned Roy E. Ray Insurance Agency. In addition to his professional achievements, Roy was a member of Parker County Cowboy Church, a cattleman, and a sports enthusiast, specifically enjoying golf and football. He was a loving husband and father and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and local community.
Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Ray of Aledo, TX; children, Desiree Taylor (Dennis), Kathy Bone (Lewis), Hubert M. Ray, and Michelle Ray; grandchildren, Jacob Taylor, Brittany Taylor, Benjamin Taylor, Julius Bone, and Lou Bone; great-grandson, Sonny Malicki; and sister, Mona Fields.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the Parker County Cowboy Church, 5050 FM 5, Aledo, TX 76008, with a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 31, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, 4941 I-20 Frontage Rd, Willow Park, TX 76087.

My condolences to Roy's wife and family. I never met Roy in person but I played online word games with him. We were opponents, and played daily, for a couple years. I was deeply saddened when I received the message that he passed away.
