Ruby Dean Wright

Ruby Dean Wright, 92, died Friday, April 22, 2016. Funeral: was Friday, April 29, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Memorials: Send to the New Mexico Christian Children's Home, 1356 NM-236, Portales, N.M. 88130. Ruby was born April 4, 1924, in Deport and lived there until she married Derwin in 1940. They moved to Carlsbad, N.M., in 1947 and lived there for 30 years until Derwin became ill and they moved to Euless. Derwin died in 1978. In November 2003, Ruby Dean moved to Lubbock to be near family, where she lived until her death. In death, she was reunited with the love of her life, Derwin Wright. Survivors: Daughters, Pat Oakley and husband, Gary, of Lubbock and Dianne McNabb of Fountain, Colo.; son, David Wright of Carlsbad, N.M.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
