Ruth Murphree Fuller

Ruth Murphree Fuller, 92, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, in Arlington. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Brookdale Town Village, Arlington. Private interment: Will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to Criswell College, 4010 Gaston Ave., Dallas, Texas 75246. She was born Jaxie Ruth Murphree on March 10, 1922, in Cleburne. She grew up in Fort Worth where she graduated from North Side High School and attended TCU as a music major. She was married in 1942 to Oran J. "Pete" Fuller. Later they moved to Arlington, where they owned and operated a residential building company in the Metroplex for many years. She was a member of Fielder Road Baptist Church where she belonged to the Early Bird Class and served as the pianist. Ruth was a dear, kind person and a dedicated prayer warrior. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to thank Mrs. Rita King for her help and friendship during the last 10 years of Ruth's life. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband and her four siblings. Survivors: Nieces, Natalie Stollenwerck of Dallas, Jaxie Julian of Bolivia, N.C., and Betsy Greene of Russell, Ohio; seven great- nieces; one great-nephew; and 15 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
