October 3, 1933 - November 25, 2025

Fort Worth, Texas - Shirley Brock Corley of Fort Worth, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Memorial service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9 at First United Methodist Church's Chapel 800 W. 5th St., Fort Worth.

Shirley was born October 3, 1933, to Claude and Florence Ingle. She graduated from Handley High in 1951. She married Jim "Hoss" Brock in 1953 and had one son, Robert. Shirley worked for the Fort Worth and Burlington Railway for 17 years, then lived and worked in Dallas from 1969 -1986.

In 1996 Shirley married Bob Corley. They traveled in their RV, spending their latter years together in Fort Worth.

Shirley was preceded in death by husband, John Robert "Bob" Corley; her parents; sister, Charlotte Denson and nephew, Brad Denson.

She is survived by son, Robert Brock; extended family; and step-family, David Corley (Renee); Tish Deffenbaugh (Steve); grandchildren, David Deffenbaugh (Charlotte) and Marcie Deffenbaugh (Lauren Pearl); Walker (Asma) Corley and Erika Corley; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to Texas Wesleyan University's Carol Corley Library Fund in Fort Worth or any charity preference.

I am sorry for your loss. I knew Shirley after she married Bob. He and my husband were fraternity brothers and good friends. We would see them at church. She was a lovely lady.
