Stella Pike

1936 - 2016

Stella Mae Pike, 79, of Arlington died peacefully in the home of her devoted daughter, Lori and son-in-law, Mike, on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015. Memorial service: will be announced at a later date for both Stella and her devoted husband, Bob. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Del Angel Funeral Home, Grand Prairie. Stella was born Sept. 9, 1936, in Marfa. Stella was predeceased by her parents, Stewart and Leta Mae Bangeman; one brother, Edward Bangeman; and her devoted husband, Robert "Bob" H. Pike. Stella was a devoted and loving mother. She was very proud of her family. She loved holidays and family get-togethers, any chance to spend time with her family. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for the family. Stella lived life to the fullest. Stella owned and operated Pike Upholstery for more than 32 years. She was a quilter, crafter, gardener, and avid collector of antiques. Friends were always treated like family. Known for her feisty sense of humor, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors: Stella is survived by her sister, Henrietta Crabil and husband, Tom, of The Villages, Fla.; brother, Bobby Bangeman and wife, Debra, of Ozona; daughter, Suzanne Holubec and husband, Michael, of Melvin; Stewart Clay Pike; Lori Ann Haws and husband, Mike; Roberta Leah Deere and husband, Tommy, all of Arlington; grandchildren, Darci McMeekin, Anthony Pike, Morgan Deere; great- granddaughter, Daisy Pike with another expected in May 2016.
