My Brother, My Friend
What a state of shock,
What disbelief.
So many devastated,
Lost in grief.
She had tried many times,
She and her Mother.
Hoping to save the life,
Of her precious Brother.
Will we ever know,
Or begin to understand?
How much pain can one soul stand?
Questions are plenty,
Answers are few.
But one simple fact remains true.
His pain and his suffering
Have been left behind too.
But here you are standing,
Your Mother and YOU.
Think of him softly and sweetly,
And know that he loved you both deeply.
Try to remember the good,
And none of the sad.
Hold on to the memories,
And the years that you had.
The life that was lost,
Has been found up above.
May the Lord’s gentle spirit,
Wrap you up in his love.
Until the glorious day that you see him again,
A bitter sweet goodbye,
My Brother, My Friend.
In Memory of a Wonderul Man...

Our precious Steve, with all my heart I love you and appreciate the love you always gave in return. I am so greatful for all the time we had together and for the things you did to make my life and home a happier place to be. When you walked into a room, you filled it with fun, excitement, big smiles all around for everyone, bear hugs and kisses, silly greetings ("Hey Girl")and lots of teasing. You were such a bright spot in my life and will always be. Until we meet again, my dear Stephen Friend Ingraham, I send my love and prayers. To Mike and Dorothy, Shelley, her husband Steve, Billy, Natalie, Jesse, Anna, Tyler, Brittany, Courtney, and Austin, I loved him so much. My heart will never be the same. Thank you for sharing him with me. His mother-in-law, Carolyn Hurley.

For Steve,
Jesus released a soul that day
Ever up where angles stay
Serving God both then and now
Understanding why and how
Souls of others come to greet
They gather at our Father’s feet
He, The Son, stands between
Enveloping the soul so lean
Carefully, the book laid bare
He, the soul, is listed there
Rightfully, soul meets judge
In God’s eyes, devoid of smudge
Songs of joy fill Heaven’s dome
This soul, so dear, is finally home.
