I remember when I was little I used to want to be her. She was the best cousin in the whole world. She was a wonderful, mother, sister, daughter, cousin, aunt, nonnie, and friend. The tears still fall but we are comforted by the fact that she is breathing freely now and no more chemo or radiation ever. She is the most beautiful angel in heaven today. I can't wait until we are all home and can have a family reunion with Jesus. I love you Tammie RIP 2011.

My aunt Tammie, there are so many words to describe her. The most important to me as a child and into adulthood are the many years watching her with my uncle David and my cousins Daniel and Mariah. Their was a time in my life when they took me in and I got the Honor of really seeing how devoted to God my aunt was and how passionate she was about her husband and her family! And not just her kids but their friends as well. She loved as If that day was all she had. I have never seen someone so quick to love yet slow to anger. Matter of fact I can honestly say I never saw her angry,EVER!! Maybe a littlle frustrated but never angry and the most non-judgemental person I have ever met. I remember while living there how I secretly wished I had been born into their family instead of my own and how different my life would have been. Unfortunately we cant pick our families but I thank God every day that she was part of mine!!!! I will always remember the unconditional love between her and my uncle and that i strive for in my own life for when I decide to remarry. It is without a doubt beautiful and priceless gift in their marriage. To David, Daniel, Mariah, Melissa, and Briley you are my home away from home and I am going to be right here remembering your mom as if she were mine as well. My thoughts, love, and prayers are with you daily!!! I love you all1

Tammie was such a graceful woman that put forth such courage and strength during a very difficult time. I am so lucky to have known her and to learn from her about having so much faith and always putting others before herself. I noticed that with Tammie. When she was very sick, she would ask me how I am doing and how are my babies. She was incredible and beautiful. She will be missed.

As another parent at Beford Heights, I was always so glad to see Tammie, especially this last year as she fought her illness with such courage and dignity. Always kind, always patient, she was a wonderful example for the whole school. Thank you, to her family and God, for letting all of us know her.

Tammie Bufe had one of the most pleasurable, loving, and agreeable voices I’ve ever noticed. Tammie’s tone of voice was as gentle and kind as she. Tammy Bufe was delightful and her name so well suited her…I always told her that she was the best Tammie Bufe in the world! Her heartfelt, genuine sweetness will forever be admired. The boys and I will greatly miss our dear friend Mrs. Bufe.

Tammie and David were the first couple we met when I moved to Bedford in 1983. Daniel was just six weeks old. We were neighbors for 11 years. Just three weeks ago, while transferring an old home video to DVD, we watched Daniel and Mariah riding their bicycles with Laura on the sidewalk in front of our houses. Tammie was always there ensuring their safety and enjoying every moment. She lived her life preparing to be with the Lord some day and now she is in His hands. Our prayers are with your family.

My children attend Bedford Heights so I had many opportunities to see and talk with your Tammie. Whenever Tammie was at the school even in her times of sickness she went out of her way to help me - whether it be something for the PTA or helping me figure out something for my kids. Her smile and her "we will figure this out attitude" were catching and I always left the school or got off the phone will a little smile added to my day. We were truly blessed to have her all those years at Bedford Heights. She will be missed so much. There will be a void when I open the door next time to the office and know her sweet smile will not be greet me. There will be many voids for you too and I hope your memories of your Tammie - Mom, wife, daugther, sister and friend along with the grace of our God will carry you through. She is gone but her legacy lives on here forever. I will be thinking of you guys tonight and tomorrow.

May God grant all of you peace. Tammie was a gentle giant, a sweet spirit. I have known Tammie for the last 12-13 years when our daughters were in sports in junior high. I enjoyed her caring spirit at school. She will be sorely missed at Bedford Heights.

My two children have gone to Bedford Heights and whenever I would call the school, Tammie's voice always cheered me. She was filled with gentle encouragement -- whether I had a question or was phoning in a sick kid. We were blessed to know her and she will be missed.

Tammie was diagnosed shortly after I was. Strange how certain things in life can create such unexpected, strong and personal connections. I watched her with admiration as she faced her journey with spirit, strength, grace and courage. She was loved and will be missed by so many. Thanks our Heavenly Father for sharing her with us.

Tammie and I served the Lord together for many years at FBC Bedford as well as working in the HEB School District. Tammie was a gentle and loving friend and shared a deep and strong faith in our Lord. Surely we will see her again on that glorious day, and I pray that promise from our Heavenly Father brings comfort to her family and loved ones during this time of loss and grief.

I went to junior high and high school with Tammie and she was a sweet, KIND girl then and her life and family reflects it was sincere goodness all along till her early departure from this earth.
They say the good pass young, true in this case... but I am better to have known her and I pray for her high school sweetheart husband she adored and her 2 children for comfort from our God and peace knowing she is definitely pain free and watching down on them from heaven with that sweet kind smile she wore all the time. God Bless her family and friends with strength, memories and peace for all the days to come.
