I met Bev at the TCU tennis courts in 1976 or 1977 the late 1970's. Bev was a great tennis buddy for a couple of years before I moved from Fort Worth in 1978. For a while, we both participated in an informal men's round-robin weekly men's tennis league on two adjacent courts at TCU. I'm glad to learn that he lived a long life. I hope it was a happy one. He was a great athlete and friend, when I knew him. My memory is that we were both military reservists, Bev in the Navy reserves, and I was in the Air Force reserves. May he rest in peace, and may we see him again.
