Walter Baxley Obituary

Walter Baxley, 85, a retired TV engineer, passed away Monday, April 4, 2005, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel of Fort Worth. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.

Mr. Baxley was born Dec. 17, 1919, to the late Oscar and Sallie Baxley in Blossom. He worked for Channel 6 in Texarkana, Channel 5 in Fort Worth and retired from Channel 11 in Fort Worth in 1986 after 31 years of service. Mr. Baxley enjoyed working on TV sets and VCRs after retiring. He liked gardening and enjoyed video photography.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Survivors: Wife of 58 years, Bernelle Baxley; son, Russell Baxley of Houston; grandchildren, John Clinton Baxley and La Dana Baxley of Houston; sister, Aileen Herron of Blossom; and numerous nieces and nephews.
