William Isaac Boyd, 85, of Arlington entered his eternal rest Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, on his 85th birthday. Service: Funeral and interment will be held at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Sylvarena, Miss. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, Miss., was in charge of interment. Bill was a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was a family man who loved his family and our Lord. He was a Mason and retired from the U.S. Air Force, the FAA and Boyd Custom Homes. He was a philanthropist, helping many others in his lifetime to make the world a better place in which we all live. Bill Boyd was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Rogers Boyd, of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two children, Jeffrey Alan Boyd of East Falmouth, Mass., and Lisa Cheryl Boyd of East Falmouth, Mass.; parents, John Felix Boyd of Richmond, Calif., and Grace Ann Madewell of Checotah, Okla.; brothers, John Sylvester Boyd of Checotah, Okla., Wayne Edwin Boyd of Checotah, Okla., and David Lee Silva of Universal City; and sister, Wanda Faye Boyd St. John of Checotah, Okla. Survivors: Daughters, Deborah Boyd and Sherran Smith; grandson, Erick Masters; and granddaughters, Kelly Masters and Gina Smith, all of Arlington.
