William J. Hopper, 87, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, in Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. A native of Kinderhook, Ill., William was born to William and Famie Alice Hopper. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, he served his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Air Force. He married Jeane Wooten in 1953. William worked in the oil and gas industry, working for Amoco Petroleum and Marshall R. Young. His pride and joy were his loving wife of 61 years, his children and grandchildren. Survivors: Wife, Eleanor Jeane; sons, Gary Bryan Hopper and wife, Katy, of Arlington, Va., and Steven Eric Hopper and wife, Misti, of Midland; grandsons, Steven, Tommy, Jace and Ryan; granddaughters, Laura and Elizabeth; two brothers; and two sisters.
