He coined the phrase, "We are Diamond Hill." During his time at the Hill, he continuously helped students to do their best. His humor and wit will be greatly missed. He could always make your day brighter. I will miss you sir

Bill Hudson, known as HUD to us at Dunbar High School, was a wonderful and passionate educator. He and I and a number of other teachers spent time together discussing education, students, backgrounds, families and so much more. Greeted him as "dancing with the mouse" when he received that accolade from Disney. He was an unassuming person, great father and husband and I was honored to know him and his family here in Fort Worth. He will be sorely missed in so many ways.

Very sorry to hear of Bill´s passing. I am sad, yet lucky to have the memories we shared. Bill was a classmate and very good friend. We attended classes together and were teammates on many sports teams throughout Jr. and Sr. High School. Rest in peace my friend.

It was my honor to know Bill as a classmate and a friend. We reconnected later in life through Facebook. He could always make me smile. RIP Bill.

Bill was a wonderful classmate and one of the brightest lights in the Sidney High Class of 1970. He was smart, funny, and somehow wise beyond his years. We will all miss him.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Bill Hudson. He was a friend and football/basketball teammate, and I´ll always remember the memories we made on the football field and the basketball court. Losing Bill is difficult, and my heart goes out to Bill´s family and friends during this painful time. Please know that you´re in my thoughts.
I always find comfort in John 14:1-3:
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father´s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

William "Bill" Hudson, born on July 21, 1952, in Sidney, OH, passed away on November 13, 2024, in Fort Worth, TX, at the age of 72. Bill's life was a testament to dedication and inspiration, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
A passionate educator, Bill devoted his career to teaching upper-level mathematics to high school students worldwide. His commitment to education earned him prestigious accolades, including Disney's American Teacher Award and the Christa McAuliffe educator title. At Phillips Academy, he was more than a teacher; he was a mentor and counselor, guiding students through the Math and Science for Minority Students program. His ability to simplify complex concepts, coupled with his distinctive bass voice and infectious smile, made learning a joy for his students.
Beyond the classroom, Bill was a dedicated coach, using sports to instill discipline and character in his students. His charisma and wisdom left a profound mark, inspiring many to pursue their dreams. To his family, Bill was a devoted husband and father to three sons, who regarded him as their first and greatest hero.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Jo Ellen, his son Brant Alan, and sister Jacqueline Spradling-Hudson, Bill leaves behind a family united by his cherished values. His sister, Sylvia Cloyd-Hudson, sons Brad and Will, daughters Tasha and Angie, grandchildren Tre, Jaz, Sidney, and Kayla, and great-granddaughter Alaiyah continue to honor his legacy and the love he generously shared.
As we remember Bill, we find comfort in his favorite passage, John 16:22: "So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy."
