Nell Arabell Unruh

1936 - 2025

Nell Arabell (Wellborn) Unruh was born on July 14, 1936 in Armstead, MT to Rela and Hattie Wellborn. She attended local schools while growing up with her 5 siblings on the family homestead up Medicine Lodge.

After graduating from Lima High School in 1954, Nell attended the Modern Beauty School in Missoula, and became the owner/operator of the Havre Hotel Beauty Salon in Havre.

In Havre, she met her future husband, Elmer Unruh and they were married on May 5, 1957. Nell and Elmer had three children; Wade, Mark, and Shawn.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Rela and Hattie Wellborn, sisters, Grace Wellborn and June Walker, brothers, Ned, Bill, and Dave Wellborn, husband, Elmer, grandchildren, Gabe Young, and Codie Blue Choate.

She is survived by sons Wade (Laurie), Mark, and Shawn (Susan), Grandchildren, Jennifer Farstad (Roberto Calvillo), Maura Jones (Tate Hurt), Tyler Unruh (Maria Ojeda-Alvarado), great-grandchildren, Samantha Jones, Ayden Calvillo, Damien Calvillo, Isaiah Batalla, numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved little dog Daisy.

Nell enjoyed spending the summers camping, fishing, arrowhead hunting, and was an avid fossil hunter. There was hardly a Sunday that went by that she didn't visit her Mom at the ranch up Medicine Lodge.

In lien of flowers, donations can be made to a local charity of your choice. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
