Cindy Ramey Daniels was down to visit and told me about Anita's illness and death. The memories of I have of Anita and Harry (and Kip) in youth group in the late 60s and early 70s at Beechwold made me remember what a strong connection I felt to your family and how I appreciated Anita's voice and as she and Sue Wynd Myers sang frequently at youth meetings. Then I thought of how you, and she in particular ministered when my parents died in 2009. I am sure she ministered to many families but the sight of my mother, looking beautiful after Anita did her hair was breath-taking; I had viewed her as Alzheimers ravaged her for 22 years and that touch gave me a view of her restoration that Jesus was already performing.
I have experienced losing a mother (and a father) so I can empathize in part with you, Kip and Adam, as you work through the hard stages of grief, regret, perhaps anger, all sorts of emotions. I don't know yet of losing a spouse, but my heart goes out to you too, Harry. You were a witness so many times in your steadfast love and protection of Anita and the rest of your family.
I just wanted you to know how your family touched my life, for over forty years. You are on my heart and will be in my thoughts and prayers in the coming weeks, months, years. I think of you all fondly as you do God's work and continue the race. May God bless you richly.

I was truly saddened to hear of Anita's passing. She was one of the Godliest people I have had the privilege of knowing, always reaching out, caring, and generous. The smile on her face projected the joy she had in her heart. She always extended God's love and kindness to others. Anita will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. My condolences and prayers go out to the family.

Mrs. Shaw was a very kind and sweet lady. My late Grandparents always talked highly of Mrs. Shaw. They always used the Shaw-Davis funeral home on Second Avenue. I remember meeting her when I was a little girl and she was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. My deepest condolences to the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Harry, Kip, Adam and the rest of the Shaw family ... as well as the Stapf family ...
To lose a spouse, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, daughter, sister is a very sad thing in our lives ... I'm sure you all would have wished it extended more to see her grandchildren grow into adults and do so many things with her that, in the busy years, we put off because we maybe didn't have the time. But Anita was the kind of person who would have understood. She knew she was loved.
Anita was also always there for everyone with her many kind words ... she will be missed by all those who knew her.
I send my deepest condolences. Carry on and God Bless.
