I have worked with Anson's mom, Garear for many years, I know his Dad from the restaurant's that he managed, I knew Pearl as a little girl when my daughter attended preschool with her, but I never knew Anson, except through the loving words of his Mom. As a mother, I was so distraut when I heard of Gareer and her family's tragic loss of a great son and brother. God works in mysterious and miraculous ways, he had better plans for Anson. In reading all the entries in this guest book and witnessing through all the people that attended his services, Anson was truly an Angel on earth. Now he is also an Angel in Heaven. Gareer, you and your family will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

Jesus said, "I am the resurrrection and the life. He who believes in me will live,....." Knowing that Anson Jr. believed in Jesus is the grestest comfort I have. I know he is in heaven now, we will see him again in the future. Anson Jr. touched so many lives and filled our days with laughters. I went to high school with Anson and played on the tennis team with him. A man who brought joy and happiness to so many people will be missed. He was always upbeat and didn't seem to let anything ever bother him. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I wish I had known Anson a little better, and took the time to stop, besides a quick "hi" at the hall way when we came across at work. Now I never have the chance. Anson was one of the kindest, most genuinely caring people I have ever met. He was also smart, fun, and the best brother Pearl could have asked for. I don't know why such a wonderful person was taken from the world so soon, but I will always remember him as the truly amazing person he was. The Bible says that God's ways are not our ways and his thoughts are not our thoughts. When I heard of Anson's death it seemed to me that God had taken leave of his senses. This last few days, though, seeing in this guest book, at the funeral and the showing it was clear that the Anson we were blessed to work with at OCLC had touched more people, more profoundly than most people do in a hundred years or more on this earth. I thank God to have been one of them, and also for having had the experience of being inspired by the words (especially Pearl's) and music of the memorial service to live my life more like Anson did - with passion and joy. You are all in my prayers and I look forward to seeing Anson again for an eternity with the Lord.

My deepest condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Chan. I knew Anson when we were in college and have hung out quite a few times with Kenny and his other friends. Anson was a great guy at heart. I only mentioned that I needed a particular software during a very casual conversation and immediately he had a copy ready for me the next day. I will miss him very much but I know he's at a better place.

I am Anson's neighbor on Hawkins Lane. I will miss Anson's smile and good sense of humor. He was a friend to my eleven year old son also. I'm sure he will be having cookouts, playing ping pong, and entertaining the angels in heaven.

The lost of Jr. is an expected tragedy to all his friends and mostly his family members, however the best way to comfort the young soul is to live the lives we should be after our deep sorrow. As nobody can recall the time, Jr. would prefer us to continue our life normally rather than fall into restless sadness and regret especially his beloved grand parents, dearest parents and his daring sister.

I don’t know why you left us so soon, but there should be a reason we didn’t know or this was the arrangement by God. Anyway, you had a great life in the past 23 years even though it looks a little bit short in our eyes. When we saw all the pictures we took in the past in these couple days, we found your pictures especially to be happy all the time. I am sure you are happy in heaven now. Anson you’ve always been the life of this family. It seemed that wherever you went good times didn’t seem to be so far away. You always seemed to light up family dinners with your clever remarks, your humor, your positive attitude, and your smile. I don’t understand why you were taken away from us so suddenly. But I am truly honored to have had a cousin like you. In the end I know that the amount of sadness and sorrow that we are all experiencing now is but a fraction of the amount of happiness that you have given us.

Anson, my dearest nephew and my God son, I have been very lucky to have you as my nephew. I had many many wonderful moments with you, picnics, cruises, vacations, games, paint ball, sports and .... You have always been very nice, gentle and very helpful to everyone you met, especially to my two sons. We will for sure miss you, especially your smiles. I guess I cannot complain too much to God since He already let me have you for 23 good years. Your be-happy and always-try-to-help-others spirit will last forever in my heart.
