Barry Mertz Obituary

Mertz Barry B. Mertz, son of Donald and Katherine Mertz died April 14, 2014. Survived by his wife, Marie Jarvis-Mertz and his brother, Bruce Mertz. Barry is also survived by children, Victor, Linda, Beth, and David; and grandchildren, Andrea, Jessica, Zachary, and Gene. Barry served his country as a Marine for 30 years and retired as a Gunny. Barry was a member of the Avery Masonic Lodge, Ancient and Scottish Rite Valley, VP of the Aladdin Temple, officer of the Voice of Aladdin, member of the Madison County Radio Club and member of the Church of Christ. Family and friends will gather on May 3, 2014, visitation is at 5 p.m., memorial service at 6 p.m. at Aladdin Shrine Temple, 3850 Stelzer Road, Columbus, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any Shriners Children's Hospital. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerColumbus.com.
