Beryl U. Ward

Ward Beryl U. Ward, age 93, of Dublin, passed away July 2, 2013. He was born to the late Earl and Ella Ward on February 1, 1920 in Versailles, OH. In addition to his parents, Beryl was preceded in death by his beloved wife Virginia F. Ward, siblings George, Norman, Mary Phyllis, and Donald Ward, nephew David Ward. Beryl is survived by his nieces, Carol M. Palantekin and Mary Ellen Nesham; great-nephews, John Ward and Jeffrey Nesham; great-nieces, Catherine Maier, Erica MacDowell and Felicity Nesham West; extended family and friends. Beryl was a U.S. Army Veteran serving with the Rangers in the Pacific Theatre during World War II, where he was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was the State Adjutant for the Ohio Disabled American Veterans for over twenty years. Friends may call from 4-5 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where the funeral service will begin at 5 p.m. Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating.
