FARRELL Brian J. Farrell, age 74, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, died Thursday, March 27, 2008, surrounded by loving family. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late V. J. and Valeta Farrell, graduate of St. Ignatius High School and University of Dayton, U.S. Army Veteran, Retiree of Ohio Bell Telephone Co, and longtime member of Immaculate Conception Parish. Preceded in death by wife Patricia (Schenk) Farrell, daughter Megan DeVendra, grandson Noah Hummer, brothers Bud and Bruce Farrell. Survived by loving wife, Joan (Mitchell) Farrell; 11 children, Stacie Farrell, Brian Farrell, Kristin (Mark) Logsdon, Erin (Tom) Rogers, Todd Farrell, Darren (Samantha) Farrell, Tara (Matt) Hummer, Mark (Amy) Farrell, Shane (Cassie) Farrell, Molly Farrell, and Matthew (Kathleen) Farrell; son-in-law, John (Elaine) DeVendra; 13 grandchildren, Dylan, Zoe, and Jude Hummer, Jack, Nick, and Luke Farrell, Keegan and Duncan Farrell, Patty Rogers, Jacob DeVendra, Makayla Farrell, Erin (Brad) Runkle, and Beth Logsdon, 2 great-grandchildren, Madison and Gavin Runkle; brother, David (Joanne) Farrell; sisters, Nancy (Vincent) Schupp, Mary Angela Mainwaring, Gerry (Michael) Hennessy, Maureen Campbell, and Joanne (Michael) Kane; numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at the EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. Broad St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:15 a.m. Monday, March 31 at Immaculate Conception Church, 414 E. North Broadway, Columbus. Burial Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in his memory to Immaculate Conception Church and School. Special thanks to the caring staff at the Laurels of Norworth. Colossians 3:2,3 "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God."
