Bryant York Fox Jr.

Fox Bryant York Fox, Jr., passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017after putting up a strong fight against lung-cancer and vascular disease. Bryant was 86 years old, born July 6, 1930, in Marengo, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents Bryant York Sr. and Anna Fox, brothers Charles, John, Sherman, Jim, and sister Jane Yocum. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Sue Collins Fox; son and daughter-in-law, Richard L. and Regina Fox of Mount Vernon; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Fox and Michael Jarrett of Gahanna; five grandsons; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Bryant worked in the Flexible Packaging Industry in Mount Vernon, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Cincinnati (Shelmar, American National, Continental Can, and Ludlow). He began his career on the shop Floor, and retired as a top Salesman. After retiring, he enjoyed many ventures. He loved playing golf with his buddies at Hiawatha, Irish Hills, and several courses in Columbus. In recent years, he thoroughly enjoyed an annual golf trip to South Carolina. He also enjoyed fishing at Lake Erie and Knox Lake, deer and mushroom hunting. Bryant chose to donate his body to The Ohio State University for education and research. He was given great care by Dr. Brent Nimeth, Dr. Debbra DeBaets, Dr. Barry George, and Dr. Jeffrey Zangmeister. A memorial service will be planned for a later date in the spring. The LASATER FUNERAL HOMES are handling the arrangements for the Fox family.
