People come into your life for a reason, season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a GODSEND and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.!

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship in clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

To everyone who knew Ms. Banks you know that she will be greatly missed. Her smile, her laugh and her way with words. She was the most outspoken woman I've ever known. She had a kind heart and would do for anyone. She would give her last but not before she said "make sure you pay me back." She always made me laugh fussing. She was a mess that was my girl. I love her so much and I can't wait to see her again. I love you Ms. Banks you were like my grandmother and you have taught me so much. You have truly left a legacy and we all strive to be like you and keep your legacy alive.

I work with the saddened staff where Ms. Banks was a beloved doctor's patient. Ms. Banks was truly one of the gentlest and most encouraging persons to have known. I will never forget her. Ms. Banks always made a point to speak and communicate with everybody here. Her natural warmth and friendly manner brightened many of our days. I'm gonna keep praying for her family and friends as we deal with losing someone so special. Glad she was here.

Carolyn you will be truly missed. From the first time we met at Marion Franklin when I was the advisor over the Cheerleading and Drill Teams, I knew you were special. I could not asked for a more supportive and loving person to have my back no matter the case. You became the team Grandma and all the children loved you. I also loved you, you were like a mother to me and a grandmother to my children. Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel. I will always love and remember the good times we shared. My condolences to the family on your loss of such a great woman.

People say they’re sorry,
And they mean it from the heart,
But to understand your heartache,
They couldn’t even start,
To have a loss like you have had,
Is too much to understand,
We see it and we feel for you,
But it’s only secondhand,
You’re the ones who are suffering,
And we’re the ones who care,
But if there’s anything we can do,
Call us, we’ll be there.

For the family of Mama Banks, please take comfort in knowing that your loved one touched so many hearts on her journey on this earth. Now, as she begins her new journey (that we all must take someday), take comfort in knowing that her and Ro are still taking care of each other as they become Angels for your journey.

Bri and Alisha, I love you dearly. You have been on my heart so heavily. If you need anything, you call me.
