Curtis Copley Obituary

COPLEY Curtis Copley Jr., age 70, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010. He was born in Holden, West Virginia, to the late Curtis and Mae Copley. He and his young bride moved to Columbus where he worked as a butcher until his retirement. After his career came to a close, he found he couldn't stop working. He worked until recently for both Home Depot and Giant Eagle. He was still able to make time for his dear wife and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carolyn; children, Curtis, Jodi (Joe) Jenkins, and Melanie; grandchildren, Miles, Caylee, Michael, Mallory, Alexandra, Emily and Andrew; sisters, Millie Ashford, Delores Watson; brothers, Don Copley and Bill Copley. Friends may call Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 10 a.m. at East Columbus Christian Church, 1055 E. McNaughten Rd., Columbus, OH. Pastor Andrew Hoover officiating. I was so sorry to read of Curt's passing. I worked for Curt at Copley's Gateway on Cleveland Avenue, oh so long ago; my father served the same store as the Pennington Bread representative. I have often thought of Curt and of his family, who I came to know during my time working for him. May you be comforted by the kindnesses and prayers of those who love you. With deepest sympathy…

sorry for your loss curt will be missed. He was funny character that made everyday fun at work. Hope you and your family truly believe that he will always be with you in thought and spirit only his body is taking a rest. So just think hard about what he might say to make you feel better or make you laugh. So long to a hard worker and good man .
