Carolyn, I am so sorry that Dan is gone and I pray that God will bless you and strengthen you in the coming months. Dan enriched the lives of so many of us, Scouts and Scout leaders alike. We will remember him as long as we live.

Carolyn - I am so so sorry for your loss. You know the love I had for Danny. As his manager for over 10 years while sitting directly next to him over 5 years..we shared many laughs, triumphs and sorrows together. I will miss Danny and I am praying for you and your household.

Carol, so sorry for your loss. Dan set across the wall from me for years. He was a nut and we had lots of laughs. He will be greatly missed. I can not imagine your grief and loneliness after all the years you were together. You and your son are in my prayers.

He was a great friend for the years my sons were in Troop #256 in Pickerington...I remember the many nights we would camp and he would cook; the trips to Gettysburg, Canada, Yellowstone, all over Ohio. He kept us laughing with his sense of humor. His chili was legendary among the assistant scoutmasters and the boys that grew up eating it. For me personally, it was the only chili that I ever liked. His snoring was also legendary; he could keep an entire barracks up with his snoring. You always tried to hit the sack before Dan...because once he was asleep, you didn't get to sleep because of the noise!! Dan will be missed greatly not only by the boys (the young men now) that he worked with, but the rest of us that knew him.

Carolyn, I know that you have strong faith in God. That is so helpful at a time like this. The memories of the good times you and Chris have shared with Danny over all of these years will remain in your hearts. You and Chris are in my prayers. He will be missed by the Scouts he has shared time with but they will always remember his leadership and their experiences he shared with them.

I am so very sorry. I believe in the power of prayer, and I am praying for your family for peace, and healing. I had the privilege of working w Dan for several years in the late 90's, and I have many wonderful memories of him. I am so very sorry for your loss.
