"Chevy",as we called him, was a dialysis patient of mine; when we first met, an instant bond formed between us. In healthcare, especially in the type I am in, you try subconsciously not to get too attached to your patients, but there are those times when a smile, or a twinkle in someone's eye, breaks down those walls, and captures a piece of your heart. Although his speech wasn't the greatest,as a stroke had robbed him of being able to articulate, his personality transcended through his bright smile, and twinkling eyes. He will forever leave a very full spot in my heart. May God bless him,and be with his wonderful family he has left behind, particularly his wonderful wife Nola. It has been a pleasure to know them both.
Love,
Joyce
