Delores M. "Sally" Majka

Majka Delores M. "Sally" (Kosuth) Majka, age 83, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at The Toledo Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born June 2, 1932 to Charles and Florence (Cumiskey) Kosuth. After graduating from DeVilbiss High School in 1950, Sally graduated from The St. Vincent School of Nursing in 1953 and worked as a Registered Nurse for 35 years at St. V's Labor and Delivery, retiring in 1994. On July 2, 1955, she married the love of her life, Henry L. Majka in St. Adalbert Catholic Church where she was a life long member. Sally was devoted, loving, funny, beautiful and she touched many hearts with her acts of kindness. She was active with the St. Vincent School of Nursing Alumni, St. V's Hospital Volunteers and the O-I Golden Emblem Club. An avid OSU fan, Sally loved traveling, baking, and doting on her beloved grandchildren, the loves of her life. Sally is survived by her daughters, Carol Anne Majka, Susan (Steven) Rutkowski; son, Martin (Jeanne) Majka of Dublin, Ohio; and dearest grandchildren, Jessica and Brian Rutkowski, and Trenton and Jenna Majka; as well as her sister, Karen (Pat) Campbell of Avon, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Peggy Amborski and Helen Wodarski; and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceding Sally in death are her parents, husband Henry, brother-in-law John Amborski, sisters-in-law Albina (Alvin) Krzyzaniak, Phyllis (Gene) Hargraves, brother-in-law Woody Wodarski and brother-in-law Edward (June) Gluza. Sally's Life Celebration will take place at the URBANSKI FUNERAL HOME, a Life Celebration® Home, 5055 Secor Road just north of Laskey Road, (419)-475-5055, Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 2-8:30 p.m., where a Rosary will be Prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue in the funeral home Monday from 8:30 a.m. until closing prayers at 9:15 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Catholic Church with interment following in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
