Dominic Prestarri Obituary

PRESTARRI Dominic Prestarri, age 91, passed away on October 15, 2007, at Colony of Columbus, Westerville, Ohio. Dominic was born August 24, 1916, in Wellsville, Ohio. He grew up at the Fairmont Children's Home. Dominic retired after 38 years from Columbus Metal Forge. Member of St. James the Less Catholic Church. He was an avid bowler and devoted family man. He was preceded in death by parents Guydano and Tresia, brothers Joe, Tony and Charlie, and in-laws Lucy and Hiram Cain. He is survived by devoted wife of 70 years, Julia (Cain); children, Mary (John) Dixon, Charles, Sharon (Allan) Bell, Joanne Naour and Frances White; grandchildren, Mike, Matt (Jeanni), Tammy (Steve), Julie (Jeff), Debbie (Dave), Melissa (Paul), and Allyson; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Jacob; special friends, Betty Kirk, Peg and Bill Munzer, Betty Hunlock, Dinorah Monge; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, in the Long Funeral Home, 5528 Cleveland Avenue (one block south of SR 161). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2007, in St. James the Less Catholic Church, 1652 Oakland Park Avenue. Rev. Fr. Scott Kramer, Celebrant. Prayer Vigil Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens, Westerville, Oh. Arrangements by SKUNZA FUNERAL SERVICE, 5528 Cleveland Avenue. Rudolph P.
