I remember singing with Don in the First Church Choral Society, where we made some beautiful music. And after church going out for lunch. I never made it out to his place to see his pipe organ, but wish I had.

Don was such a sweet, kind and caring man. He treated me with respect while working with him at The Columbus Dispatch. I was told too that he had a great singing voice, and he sang in a choir for many years. It was such a pleasure working with him. I won't forget his kindness. Rest in peace, Don. May your memory be a blessing!

I only today learned of Don's passing. I'll miss singing with him in the Choral Society, going out to lunch with him after church, and the good humor he had in life. I'm sorry I never got to go out and hear his pipe organ, but I'm sure he'll be there every time it's played

It was sad that Don passed from us, but blessedly it was quick. He was a wonderful guy - thoughtful, caring, reliable - and he sure knew how to put on a good party. He will live on in the hearts of many

I was very sad to hear of Don's death. He was my baritone soloist at Indianola Presbyterian Church in the sixties when I was Music Director. Have many happy memories of that time in my life.

This is very sad news to hear that Don is no longer with us. Don had a great sense of humor and I always enjoyed his friendship. As others have already said, you could talk with Don about any subject or current news story. I sang with Don as a member of the First Congregational Church's choir. We certainly had fun in New England and Nashville! His accomplishments and his passion for life will long be remembered by those of us fortunate to have know Don Capelle.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Don's sudden death. We were neighbors years ago in German Village and socialized on occasion.
He was a wonderful, caring, kind person and I felt a great loss when he moved. My sincere sympathy to his family and friends. He certainly will be missed by those who knew him.

Don was a wonderful, loving and one of the greatest nicest friends I had and could be counted on for any help anybody needed. He was a person you could talk serious or just fun things that happen to us all. He will be missed more than he would have thought and be surprised.
