CAPELLE Donald Dean Capelle, 75, of Buckeye Lake, a funeral service celebrating his life will be held Monday evening at 8 p.m. in the Chapel of the HOSKINSON FUNERAL HOME, Kirkersville, with Pastor Timothy Ahrens officiating. Don died suddenly Friday morning while undergoing emergency Surgery at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born in Columbus on October 3, 1931; the son of the late Nelson and Mabel Loar Capelle. He was a graduate of the Columbia University, New York; with a degree in art history. He was a long-time employee of the Dispatch Printing Co, where he worked in advertising. An accomplished artist, musician and singer, he enjoyed his associations with the Columbus Maennerchor, Swiss club singers and the choir at the First Congregational Church, Columbus; where he was also a member. He was also a member of the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club and the Buckeye Lake Historical Society. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his life partner Mark Schultz in 1997. He is survived by his cousins, Bob and Sara Loar of Columbus, Rob Loar of Sunbury and Martha Dickson of Columbus; his housemates and close friends, Doug and Jason; and a host of friends and acquaintances in Columbus and at Buckeye Lake. His friends will gather Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Funeral home, 285 E Main St in Kirkersville; where an on-line guest register and video tribute is available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.com. The Columbus Maennerchor and Swiss Club will sing at 8 p.m. immediately prior to the service. A choral memorial service will also be held Sunday, September 2, 2007 at 2 p.m. at First Congregational Church in Columbus.
