Donna moved next to me when we were in about 5th grade. We became close friends. We played jacks on our from porch. We had lots of fun. In high school we both took French and wrote letters to each other in French so our folks would not know what we were saying. In college we road to school together. We went skating late Saturday nights. As adults we fellowshipped with each others families. She was the best friend I ever had. I can not believe she is gone. I miss her. Linda Goff Snellings Neal

I worked with Donna in the Defense Department and always admired and respected her. She had patience and passion. Donna taught me to trust and believe in my abilities to reach people through teaching. The world is a better place because Donna shined the Lord's light, inspiring so many of us. She was a fabulous Mentor to me and a true blessing.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to you and your family during this difficult Time. I hope the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring you some comfort. Just knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

I just wanted to let all of you know how sorry I am for your loss. My mother, Ruby Blue was befriended by your mom at the Woodlands. My mother grew up an abused child and moving there was scary - her memories of her childhood were haunting her with the onset of her dementia. Your mother took mine under her wing and made her feel safe and loved. For that, to her I am eternally grateful. Even though she was struggling herself, she still reached out to my mom and helped her through one of her toughest times. We were blessed to know her!!!

Mother there is so much that can be said from me right no but the most important thing is that I am really going to miss you. I remember all the talks we use to have over the phone and in the sanctuary at church. Your warm smile, soft spoken words and those Loving hugs made me feel like my mom did. You were such a classy and elegant woman of God. I remember saying to you that when I grow up I wanted to be like you and we would both start laughing. Truth of the matter is, I couldn't hold a match to you but if ever I get that chance to be mother of the church I hope to atleast come close to being like you. Thank you for our time together I will never forget them. Thank you for being my friend. I was really happy that I got to see you before your transition. Now Rest In Peace until that glorious day we meet again. I love you. Charlett

Aunt Donna you really made me feel loved! You were there for me all the way around. You were my Aunt, and you were a mother figure to me. You were also my treasured friend! You were a tender heart and a strong soul. You inspired my life in a way where your legacy is with me forever, in my own idenity. We use to talk pretty much every Sunday. I am honored that I got to sing your favorite hym, "Precious Lord" with you on the phone and say to you, the very things I am posting here. It's good to know your soul was also moved by my love, respect and honor for you in this life. I will miss our Sunday's for the remainder of my life. Aunt Donna Love, you had such a wonderful character and a most graceful way about yourself, that I will always remember. I will celebrate the memory of you and keep your legacy alive in my life! You are the Jackie Kennedy of our family. I will always love you, my darling Aunt Donna, you.
