Dwight Doerring Obituary
1947 - 2021
Dwight E. Doerring, age 73, of Bexley, Ohio, passed away, Monday, May 3, 2021. He was born on October 22, 1947 in Postville, Iowa to the late Eugene A. and Rita (Gentz) Doerring. Dwight will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Helen; son Robert (Catherine) Doerring, and their sons Edward and Nolan, all from Columbus, Ohio; sister Bonnie Doerring Hopkins and her daughter Stacie (Jason) Naslund and their children Kaya and Alec, all from Denver, Colorado. Sisters-in-law Margaret Smith (John) Nicholson – Columbus, Ohio; Jane Smith (Charles - deceased October 2020) Dellenbaugh – Groveport, Ohio; and Ada Smith (J.D.) Greer – San Antonio, Texas; uncle, Robert (Doris) Doerring– Lancaster, Wisconsin; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service at Christian Life Church of Westerville, where he was a 40-year member, will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to North Spring Christian Academy, 425 N. Spring Rd., Westerville, Ohio 43082, where Dwight lovingly served as a school aide for the students which included his cherished grandsons. For full obituary, please visit www.schoedinger.com.
